Kyle’s Landing to Ozark

Woke about 7 am. Didn’t sleep great because my lower back was tight all night. Otherwise I feel pretty decent. Nice to have a full water bathroom in the morning.

Start at Kyle’s Landing MM 20.9 about 8:20 First part of this trail is tough. Lots of edge walking, slippery leaves and rocks. No cruising here. Cherry Grove Cemetery at about 12:15 for lunch. MM 26.2 Got a bit distracted by a FS road and ended up taking that and the Erbie road to get to Erbie. Erbie has a spigot by the pit toilets/trail head. Topped off and am going to make the push to Ozark. No water to speak of at all on either section today. Sign at Cedar Glade lies. Claims 1.7 but really more like 2.0 Got to Ozark at 1745. Sunset it about 1900 so despite being pretty beat I needed to get cracking Spigot right near the tent sites. Very nice. They also have a bathhouse here with running water. Ozark is MM 35.1 Claim is 2.0 to Pruitt but everything I have read puts it more like 2.6. Was definitely warm today but it cooled off quicker than yesterday. Cooled off quick after sunset. In the tent by 2000. Headlamp was dim, out of battery? I didn’t replace them for this trip.
